The additive slows the curing process of the render by slowing the chemical crystal formation that causes the it to set or harden. Extratime is recommended for moderate lengthening of sand and cement render setting times. Extratime Render Retarder will lengthen the setting time by around 60 minutes depending on the ambient temperature, relative humidity of the environment and the surface being rendered.
